Misbranded performance-drug seller ordered to forfeit $180,000

Skyler Garman received one year of probation and a $180,000 forfeiture order for misbranded-drug distribution and money-laundering conspiracies. DOJ describes research-only labels contradicted by human dosing advice. The $2.2 million in product sales and $180,000 proceeds are different measures.

What happened

DOJ reported that Skyler Garman was sentenced to one year of probation for conspiracies involving distribution of misbranded drugs and money laundering, with forfeiture of $180,000 in offense proceeds. Garman admitted 2019–2021 distribution of selective androgen receptor modulators and selective estrogen receptor modulators in violation of federal drug law. He operated Body Science Supplements and associated brands, using internet sales and interstate shipping. The release distinguishes unapproved new drugs and misbranded products from lawful dietary supplements.

The described products bore labels such as not for human consumption while Garman and an associate advised customers about dosing for human performance uses. Body Science and its brands sold more than $2.2 million in products, the large majority described as unapproved and misbranded drugs, producing more than $180,000 in net profit for Garman. The forfeiture amount is not the same as total sales, and an order does not prove collection. The case shows why purchasing and promotion reviews must examine actual use claims and customer advice alongside labels, rather than rely on a research-only disclaimer.
