Noridian introduces secure audit file exchange through GoAnywhere
Oct 11, 2026 edition · GC-2026-0198 · Published 2026-10-11 · Version 3 · Final
Noridian offers GoAnywhere for approved Audit and Reimbursement document exchanges. Auditor approval, email-domain checks, representative authorization, and separate application access govern the workflow; it does not replace cost-report filing or the Medicare Portal.
What happened
The September 30 notice describes a secure upload, download, and sharing platform for Audit and Reimbursement work. Providers and approved external partners, including some consultants, preparers, and vendors, may be eligible. The first step is to contact the assigned auditor, who checks the organization's approved email domain and supplies onboarding instructions. After approval, the auditor shares a file or folder so the user can activate an account. Eligibility to exchange audit material is therefore not the same as automatic access for every claims user.
Certain non-provider representatives must give the assigned auditor a completed Medicare Cost Report Third-Party Authorization form before access is approved. The notice links registration guidance, training, and frequently asked questions, and expressly preserves MCReF and the Noridian Medicare Portal as separate applications requiring separate access. GoAnywhere therefore supplies a controlled audit-document channel, rather than a substitute destination for every cost report or claim. An organization should confirm the auditor's requested exchange and representative authority before changing its established filing workflow.
