Angela Turner-Brown, N.P.: DEA registration order
Oct 11, 2026 edition · GC-2026-0185 · Published 2026-10-11 · Version 4 · Final
DEA’s Turner-Brown order follows expired Indiana prescribing authorities and denies related pending registration applications. The final order is effective October 29, but her state authorities and DEA registration had already expired. The case does not permit prescribing until the final-order date.
What happened
DEA’s final order concerning Angela Turner-Brown, N.P., revokes registration MB0434035 and denies pending applications to renew or modify it, as well as other pending applications for additional Indiana registration. Signed September 15 and published September 29, the order is effective October 29, 2026. The agency found that her Indiana Controlled Substances Registration prescriptive authority expired October 31, 2023, and her Advanced Practice Registered Nurse prescriptive authority expired October 31, 2025. State records reviewed in the decision continued to show both as expired.
The decision also states that the DEA registration itself expired July 31, 2026. DEA retained jurisdiction to finish the administrative case despite that expiration, and the factual allegations were deemed admitted after default. This is an administrative determination, not a criminal guilty plea. The later October 29 effective date must not be read as permission to prescribe in the interim. Credentialing controls need to reconcile separate state prescribing authorities and federal registration, including expirations that predate publication of a final agency order.
